All of our workshops and lectures take place in a small to medium size group environment. You can choose to attend our workshops as part of the Three-in-One package or attend the workshops on their own.

When attending our workshops you will have an opportunity not only to join our group sessions but you can also choose to receive individual coaching. In addition, you will have an opportunity to practice your case writing skills on site and receive written feedback from our experienced markers within 24 hours.

We favour visual-based learning in a small-to-medium-size group environment. That means no big lecture halls, no boring lecturing and no confusing powerpoint slides with lots of text. Our workshops are comprised of various sessions, which are designed to specifically address students’ concerns that we have been observing over the years. “I can’t seem to get my outlining right!”

Outline-Master Session: To outline or not to outline? To use a computer or paper? This session identifies and clarifies several myths regarding outlining and illustrates a variety of ways to effectively outline one’s response. Candidates walk away from this session with an arsenal of tools that can be used during the planning and outlining stage.

“My responses are confusing. I don’t know how to start off or finish my response.”

Writing Tools-and-Tips: We know that candidates often feel uncertain about how to structure a response that hits all the necessary points while under strict time constraints. We provide candidates with useful tools that can be deployed when writing case-based exams. Having a hard time with procedures? Not sure how to handle a heavy technical issue? How should a case’s “big picture” be handled? We’ve got tried-and-true tips and tools up our sleeves that we are glad to share.

“How do I study my technical?”

Memory-Techniques: Students are taught memory techniques that will greatly aid them during technical studying. These techniques allow candidates to efficiently retain the material and easily recall it during a professional exam situation.

“I need help with case-analysis!”

Art of Critical-Reading Session: Case analysis is a cornerstone of our workshops. Candidates are taught the underlying theory behind critical-reading techniques and are given opportunities to apply these techniques by writing mock UFE simulations. The simulations will be reviewed and discussed by the lecturer who will illustrate in practice how these critical-reading techniques are applied. Candidates will also be given an opportunity to practice their case-writing skills and submit several non-comprehensive simulations for marking during the workshop. The feedback on the simulations will be provided within one day.

“I don’t know if I am debriefing properly”

Debrief-and-Analyze Session: The purpose of debriefing is to learn from any mistakes made in the practice simulation. Accordingly, the debriefing process can be challenging, confusing and stressful to candidates. Candidates are provided with specific debriefing steps to follow throughout their period of study and the necessity of carrying out a comprehensive debrief is emphasized. Candidates will also apply their newly learned skills in a classroom setting and receive feedback from our coaches on their debriefing skills.

“I am having troubles with my quants”

Quant-Attack Session: We know that some candidates ace quantitative analysis and actually might spend too much time on the quants. At the same time, we also know that many candidates feel very uncomfortable with their quantitative analysis and are almost scared of getting that type of a ‘quant-heavy’ question on the exam. How to track the numbers? How to organize an excel exhibit? How to manage one’s time when completing the quant? Candidates are provided with our own tricks-and-tips that will allow them to finally overcome the fear of the quants. Candidates are also provided with hands-on opportunity to practice their newly-acquired skills.

“I need to learn to manage my stress levels”

Above-the-Stress: Candidates are taught techniques on how to handle stress. Tired of the old ‘eat right, get lots of sleep’ lecture? We’ve got specific tips on how you should deal with stress that are based on our extensive research into this industry’s leading trends. Want to know what to eat in the morning for better brain function? What foods to avoid to stay energetic?
